With that, we bring to a close the first story arc of “Hobo and Bowser”. This weeks page seemed to fly out of me. I did a few concept sketches to get the look of Chief Flash sighting down the barrel of his gun right, and then I just went to the actual page and it flowed efortlessly! Now if all of them would be like that. I hope you all are enjoying the journey so far, and be sure to check back next week when we launch the next issue!

Just a four paneler for today. There is one more page for this story arc and I felt the two panels that would of ended this page will be better used to finish up the next page. I would of liked to have added more detail to this page, maybe use a different camera angle or two, but time was of the essance.
Till next time,

Page 30, we made it! Not really a major milestone by any means, but I’m happy to get here non-the-less! I’m really starting to like Chief Flash. A hardworking cop with a no-nonsense attitude, who is starting to realize he’s going to have his hands full with Dumb Hobo. This page was going to have a longer exchange between Hopady and Chief Flash at the end, but I condensed the scene down at the last minute after getting stuck on the last panel for most of today.
We have added “Author Bios” onto the site to give a little bit more insight into who Rich and I are, and where this world we’ve created is coming from. Next week we will add a section about the real origins of “Hobo and Bowser” and how it all came to be.
I’m thinking about tinkering with the layout of the future pages… We may switch from a six panel strip to a four panel strip, and change our update schedule to twice a week. It depends on how the scripts will adapt to a smaller format, so we’ll see.
Till next time…

Page 29. This is probably the closest I’ve come to drawing an “animated strip so far… This is a six panel page, but it only takes up the same space as four normal sized panels. I had originally planed on ending this page with another two full sized panels but it threw off the pacing of this sequence. There is about three or four pages left for this story arc, then its on to script two!
