This whole sequence is an homage to a funny scene in the movie Weekend at Bernie’s where Larry (Andrew McCarthy) is trying to start Bernie’s boat, at one point pushing a button which causes the back part of the boat upon which their dead boss is sitting on to start raising up, giving Richard (Jonathan Silverman) such a bad scare he snaps at Larry “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!” It is so good I just had to write a “cover” of the scene (if you will) for when Tommy and Tyrone are trying to steal Dingo’s car, with Tyrone demanding “Are you trying to whittle down my nine lives?” in place of “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?” because it is a more gentle joke and a “nine lives” cat gag to boot. Also, we get to see the top part of Dingo’s vehicle in use for the first time, as well as a rare moment of anger on Tyrone’s part towards his associate. -Rich
