Strip 95 – Nonchalance.

Back again. Sorry again for the down time last week. I used a new plugin for photoshop for this strip that saved me a heck of a lot of time coloring todays strip. The “BPelt” filters (found Here makes flatting take minutes, insted of hours. I found these plugins thanks to the Guide Tony Piro made over at Calamities of Nature.

On a side note, the car next to Dingo’s Caddy dipicted in panels 2 and 3 is my rendition of our Suburban.

Ehh.. Sorry folks, we’re gonna scrub the rest of the week and start over fresh on Monday (the 8th). This has been a hecktic week, that is just starting to slow down back to normal. Thank you for your patience, and we’ll see you on Monday!

Sorry folks, yesterday went in a completely different direction then I had planned. So it will just be the color version of yesterdays strip for today.

Sorry folks, ran into some technical difficulties right as I was finishing up todays strip. Will post it up later this morning/afternoon!
Thank you for your patience!

Tommy Totino’s gloating is cut short by an embarassing fall.  But while he is momentarily down, he and his associate are not out by any means.   What will their next move be?  Keep up with us to see.

Behind The Scenes With Rich

Originally it was Tyrone whose branch would break, but Ed thought it would be funnier if Tommy’s did and it turned out to be a great idea.  Also, Tyrone isn’t joking in the last panel, since he is so dense he assumed cats did always land on their feet until Tommy’s spill.  Tommy’s landing is deliberately left unseen so readers can take what Tyrone has to say about it and let their imaginations run wild from there, like how Bill Watterston always left “The Noddle Incident” to the imagination of Calvin and Hobbes fans.  You don’t always have to “Show, don’t tell.” when spinning a yarn.    -Rich

This past week Tommy and Tyrone think they may have found their targets.

Thanks to Franklin O’Malley’s vauge description of whom he wanted them to chase away, Tommy and Tyrone have just let themselves get fooled into identifying the wrong quarry!  What does this mean for DH, Dingo, and Couver?  Keep up with us to see.

Behind The Scenes With Rich

Tyrone’s line in the last panel “And I swear I’ve seen the guy who’s with them before.” is an homage to a line from the movie Home Alone where Marv (Daniel Stern) says to Harry (Joe Pesci) “And I swore I heard that name ‘Snakes’ before.”  after being tricked by an old movie into thinking grown-ups were in the house they were trying to break into.  Tyrone’s line also reflects how dull-witted he is.

Incidentally Ed and I once did something eons ago where DH, Dingo, and Couver got chased by a couple dogs, and I decided to recycle that here with Tommy and Tyrone the pursuers this time.  -Rich
